Summary
[edit]DescriptionБронзівка золотиста DSC 0828 03.jpg |
English: Green rose chafer (Cetonia aurata (Linnaeus, 1758)) is a beetle from the subfamily Cetoniinae of the family Scarabaeidae. Distributed throughout Ukraine. Usually eats flowers and young fruits. Flower chafers belong to insects with complete metamorphosis, they lay eggs, which produce larvae that do not look like beetles, which later pupate. The larvae gnaw on detritus.
Wild privet, also sometimes known as common privet or European privet (Ligustrum vulgare (Linnaeus, 1753)) is a poisonous perennial plant of the olive family (Oleaceae (Hoffmanns. & Link)). The natural range lies within the south-western regions. Widely used in horticulture. This plant is able to withstand slight salinization of the soil, as well as strong dust and gassiness of the atmosphere, which is why it is often used in urban landscaping. From parks spread throughout Ukraine. English: Rose chafer eats the flowers of wild privet |
