Special Collection Prize: Best collections of images showing the impact of climate change was awarded to a collection of 13 videos from Cote d'Ivoire organized and submitted by the brand new Wiki Loves Africa Côte d'Ivoire community led by Bouba Kam's. The jurors and the international organizng team were convinced that the collection of videos represent a beautiful collaborative effort at telling stories that portray the impact of climate change on the continent. The above video tells the story about how this collection was born.

Photography:
- 1st prize: US$2000
- 2nd prize: US$1500
- 3rd prize: US$1000
Media (Video, Audio, Graphics, Photo Essays):
- Best audio : US$ 750
- Best video prize : US$ 1,000
- Africa Environment Video Prize: Best video representation of the impact of climate change : US$ 2,000
- Africa Environment Special Collection Prize: Best collections of images showing the impact of climate change : US$ 500
The photo contest entries were reviewed first by a volunteer team of Wiki Loves Africa first reviewers, and then by a jury panel of 11 photographic experts from around the world. The international jury made up of professional photographers and Wikimedia Commonists identified the top 3 international winners.
The Best Video and Special Collections prize were selected by a video jury consisting of 5 media professionals from around Africa.
The Best Audio was selected by the international organizing team after a listening process was conducted.
