Treaty of Verdun

[edit]

As discussed in de:Wikipedia:Kartenwerkstatt/Kartenwünsche#Vertrag_von_Verdun the map and its derivated works in other languages are falsely (outdated) depicting borders, esp. in the east but also to spain, and have serveral minor issues with labeling - some wrong, other incoherent - that differ from version to version. Point is, there are much better versions already existent in the Category:Treaty of Verdun and this misleading maps should not be used. Since they are "home grown" in this project, there is also no use in keep them in an archival way. --Don-kun (talk) 19:36, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: Files are heavily in use by other projects, and are therefore in scope to be kept at Commons since there are no copyright issues apparent. Please consider tagging the maps with {{Disputed map}} and discuss the removal of these files from the individual Wikipedia projects since if it is in use on a project, it should not be deleted from Commons since we should not decide over editorial content Wikipedia want to use. --Jonatan Svensson Glad (talk) 21:40, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
