Unlikely to be Mehr's work. Published elsewhere (e.g. here) before Mehr (note that the Mehr watermark is missing, and instead Jam-e Jam's logo is on the video). Ahmadtalk 20:03, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
- Is it possible Jam-e Jam copied the video from Mehr, as it's far easier to edit out a watermark in the top left with a whitish sky background and then added a Jam-e Jam logo? (Please ping me) Waddie96 (talk) 13:10, 13 May 2020 (UTC) (ping @Ahmad252: ) Waddie96 (talk) 13:11, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
- that is not possible, the top left corner not edited and the smoke appears in this position clearly, no signs for any edits --Ibrahim.ID ✪ 21:00, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Waddie96: Apologies for the delay, for unknown reasons I didn't get the ping. I agree with Ibrahim.ID here. There is no indication of edits on the video. In addition, it was published on Donya-e-Eqtesad almost one hour before being published on Mehr (the link I presented above is from Donya-e-Eqtesad, not Jam-e Jam), with Jam-e Jam's watermark. Based on this, I think Mehr certainly wasn't the first news agency to publish the video (and Jam-e Jam wasn't either; it's very difficult to remove Jam-e Jam's watermark from the video). In fact, I don't even know what the original source is. It appears that someone, who wasn't affiliated to any news agency, recorded this and sent it to several news agencies. - Makes sense, I concur then: Delete Waddie96 (talk) 11:48, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- Delete "Mehr" and "Jam-e Jam" and published the same video with their watermarks in different positions and no signs for any edits, that's mean there is another source (maybe military or government) who record this video with the rescue team, this is a military accident and I don't think they allow public or press to record that easily, also Mehr newspaper didn't add the name of photographer (credits) so we can't be sure they are the copyright owner --Ibrahim.ID ✪ 21:29, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Delete Concur with Ahamd and Ibrahim. The watermark is not proving anything it's highly unlikely for "Mehr" or "Jam-e Jam" to have photographers at the scene. --Mhhossein talk 05:26, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- Keep I don't see why we should doubt Jam-e Jam's claim. If they are the first source and put a logo on it, it's on their heads, not ours. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 08:37, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- Jam-e Jam doesn't publish its content under a free license. Mehr does that, but clearly Mehr is not the first source to receive (or at least publish) the video. Ahmadtalk 09:46, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- Keep I think it's very unlikely Mehr edited out Jam-e Jam's watermark. The raw footage was likely provided to both Jam-e Jam and Mehr by the Iranian Navy as both appear to be state-sanctioned media outlets in Iran. If Mehr subsequently publishes it with a free license. I think it's acceptable that we accept that. The Navy accepted that when they transmitted the raw footage to Mehr. -98.32.240.187 16:29, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- this is not acceptable, if that is true, that means Mehr is not the copyright's owner --Ibrahim.ID ✪ 04:25, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
- Keep For reasons previously stated. Gulbenk (talk) 18:39, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- So you are not adding to the arguments raised here. --Mhhossein talk 03:56, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
