created by Henry Bianchini in 1988. No FoP provisions in U.S. Derivative image of copyrighted sculpture. Warfieldian (talk) 04:52, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I thought it was much older when I took the pic, but if it is indeed contemporary then I suppose it could be a copyright issue. Is a fair-use out of the question, because I suppose the article is not on the statue per se but the park. Too bad. The 1940s memorial might not be considered a "sculpture" perhaps, so maybe we can substitute one of that. W Nowicki (talk) 13:55, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I went back and looked at SIRIS to see if perhaps copyright was not claimed prior to 1989 in which case it could be used, but it looks like copyright was registered in 1988. Fair use could be considered if uploaded to en.wiki and supporting reasons were given. Warfieldian (talk) 15:33, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: Recent artwork; the United States don't recognise freedom of panorama for statues. Jastrow (Λέγετε) 15:33, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
