The description mentions ".. purchased by the family from Alamy Stock Photo". Did they buy it including the licence? See also the metadata. Wouter (talk) 13:55, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, the purchase of the photo included what Alamy called "standard licenses".
- The license from Alamy said personal and editorial use. To quote: 'You can only use this image for editorial media and for personal use. Editorial media includes use as a visual reference to support your article, story, critique or educational text," to quote from the Alamy website.
- In my understanding, Wikipedia--a crowd-sourced public information database for free use--would be editorial use. Not commercial.

- The aspect of "not commercial" may make it not acceptable to Commons. An alternative is the use of "fair use". See Fair use where is mentioned ”The English Wikipedia ... does allow fair use materials subject to its strict non-free content policy, which requires the uploader to provide a detailed fair use rationale". I have no experience with it myself. Wouter (talk) 19:23, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
Deleted: per nomination. Alamy standard license is clearly not compatible with Commons. --P 1 9 9 ✉ 13:46, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
