Commons:Deletion requests/File:DavidDorward2018.jpg
No evidence is provided that the stated Creative Commons license has been granted, and "Permission granted by Fred Katz for political use on David Dorward Wikipedia page" suggests that permission my have been given only for that one use, which clearly contradicts the CC license claim. {{Help me}} I don't understand what you need. Photographer took photo for political use and is a media file. I provided you facebook link and it is in public folder. The photographer and subject want the image to be widely used. That would be the point. So what do you need to prevent deletion? My statement in no way implies it is one time use. {{Help me}} I don't understand conflicting instructions from wikipedia. Also, as noted this photographer already filed in form at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Email_templates/Consent All should be finalized. The photographer has given license many times now. Please work to finalize this issue. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kermit7 (talk • contribs) 03:20, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- In the above case, would it not be better to upload this file to EN:WP as fair use instead of Commons? --E4024 (talk) 14:48, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- Subject is a Living Person, so it's replaceable and therefore no fair use allowed on en-wiki - It will get deleted there if seen. Note also en:User_talk:Kermit7#A_question_about_copyright - I searched OTRS for a ticket from the photographer (nice he has got a not too common name) - there are no e-mails at all from Fred Katz or his website domain. Unless there is some sign that Fred Katz has sent in an e-mail, this should be Delete Ronhjones (Talk) 16:47, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
