Image subject to copyright claim on source website - https://auticon.com/ Geoff Who, me? 22:33, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

File:Auticon-logo-2023.png is the correct and current logo for auticon. It was created by me ([email protected]) as a representative of the company. The company, auticon, owns the copyright. Old versions of thei logo at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Auticon_logo.png and https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Auticon_logo.jpg should be removed as they are no longer current.  Keep as public domain. This appears to be a global company with a presence in the United States, but it is foremost based in Germany. As such, the logo appears to have been simultaneously published in the United States and abroad (i.e. published within thirty days), so we would want to evaluate this first under U.S. copyright law. And, under that law, this logo is well below the threshold of originality, so {{PD-textlogo}} would apply to the U.S. copyright. We also want to look at the German copyright, but this logo is also under COM:TOO Germany (compare this logo, which was denied copyright protection in Germany), so this is also {{PD-textlogo}} with respect to the German copyright. COM:LICENSING allows us to accept files that are in the public domain in at least the United States and in the source country of the work; this file is in the public domain in both the United States and Germany, and we should keep as such. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 00:09, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
