As an active member and sysop on de.wikisource.org, a project with focus on quality transcriptions, he has done over 20.000 edits for the benefit of this project on Wikimedia Commons. He also runs the account User:GerWsUpload (with bot flag, almost 100.000 uploads). As an administrator he could fix mistakes and do other maintenance work more easily.

To delete accidental uploads, to delete files with bad names and duplicates, same with categories. Don't you think there's enough to do for someone who uploaded over 110.000 files? ––Polarlys 23:26, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
