English: Vlach is a blanket term covering several modern Latin peoples descending from the Latinised population in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. English variations on the name include: Wallachians, Walla, Wlachs, Wallachs, Vlahs, Olahs or Ulahs. Groups that have historically been called Vlachs include: modern-day Romanians or Daco-Romanians, Aromanians or Macedo-Romanians, Morlachs, Megleno-Romanians and Istro-Romanians. Since the creation of the Romanian state in 1918, the term in English has mostly been used for those living outside Romania.
Magyar: A vlachok (ejtsd: vlah) a Balkán-félsziget különböző országaiban élő népcsoportok, akik a latin nyelvből származó nyelveket beszélnek. A következő országokban élnek: Görögország, Románia, Albánia, Macedónia, Bulgária, Szerbia és Horvátország.
Slovenščina: Vlahi ( albansko: Vllehë, češko: Valaši, grško: Βλάχοι, poljsko: Wołosi, srbsko: Власи, turško: Ulahlar) je prvotno splošno ime, s katerim so južni Slovani po svoji naselitvi na Balkanu imenovali staroselsko prebivalstvo: kolonizirane Romane, romanizirane Ilire, Tračane in druge.
