English: Vasily Ivanovich Chuikov (Васи́лий Ива́нович Чуйко́в) (February 12, 1900 - March 18, 1982) was a lieutenant general in the Soviet Red Army during World War II, twice en:Hero of the Soviet Union (1944, 1945), who after the war became a en:Marshal of the Soviet Union.

Главнокомандующий Группой советских оккупационных войск в Германии (1949—1953), Командующий Киевским военным округом (1953—1960), Главнокомандующий Сухопутными войсками СССР, заместитель Министра обороны СССР (1960—1964), Начальник войск гражданской обороны СССР (1961—1972). С 1942 по 1946 год командующий 62-й армией (8-й гвардейской армией), особо отличившейся в Сталинградской битве.
