The Salinas Assembly Center was located at the Salinas Rodeo Grounds in Salinas, Monterey County, California in 1942.

It held a total of 3,608 (a maximum of 3,863 at one time) Japanese Americans from the Monterey Bay area, including the Pajaro Valley and Santa Cruz County.
Most of the internees were sent to the Poston War Relocation Center in Arizona.[1][2][3][4]
