Ruen Phongsri is one of the buildings built when His Majesty King Chulalongkorn gave a royal command to construct Asaitasathan convalescence homes. Afterward, the building was used to accommodate members of the Royal family before the construction of Phra Chuthathut Palace that was completed in 1892. Presently used as a museum to display royal history.
