English: This liner was launched in 1913 as Columbus for the North German Lloyd line, but was not completed when World War I began. Finished after the war ended, Columbus was ceded to Britain as a war reparation and purchased by the White Star Line, which named the ship Homeric. Homeric was scrapped in 1936.
