Sports Club of São Paulo, Brazil

Founded 7 September 1899 as Sport Club Germânia, the fourth association football club of Brazil. Renamed in 1942 to Esporte Clube Pinheiros. 1906 and 1915 football champions of the State of São Paulo. Famous players include Hermann Friese, Camillo Ugi and Arthur Friedenreich. 2013 basketball champions of South America. Many Olympic Games participants, such as João Carlos de Oliveira (triple jump) and swimmers like Gustavo Borges and César Cielo. Further sports include volleyball, water polo and tennis.
