please place your pictures in a category or a gallery

Hello - thank you for providing images to the wikimedia commons. Please keep in mind that images uploaded to the commons should be useful to all users of wikimedia projects - this is possible only if the images can be found by other people. To allow others to find the images you uploaded here, the images should be in some place that can be found by navigating the category structure. This means that you should either place the images on topic pages (galleries) or put the images directly into a category, or do both. To find good categories for your images, the CommonSense tool may help. You can find a convenient overview of your uploaded files here: Gallery

The important point is that the images should be placed in the general structure somewhere. There is a large number of completely unsorted images on the commons right now. Please give images better names

I noticed you've uploaded some images and I thought I should turn your attention to a common error.

Please give uploaded images meaningful names. Otherwise they are difficult to track and it is hard to tell what the image is about without actually looking at it. In which country was the photo taken?

I have seen your photo File:Crystal_Palace_Transmitting_Station.jpg but there is no description. Could you please add where it was taken (city and country) and if possible what type of transmission station it is (a TV tower?). Thanks Wouter (talk) 10:32, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.

Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Regan123. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Regan123~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.

Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
