Thanks for uploading File:BSicon KRZuxlxr.svg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

Thanks for uploading File:Antoine Dousse en 2000 par Michel Dousse decoupure.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT ([email protected]). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Antoine Dousse en 2000 par Michel Dousse decoupure.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

Lantus (talk) 08:59, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
Correction on handedness of double-track rail traffic: Indonesia
Hello, I am writing concerning a map you posted showing the directionality of railway lines: this one. It appears that Indonesian trains drive on the right hand of double-tracks, even though their roads are on the left. I noticed this when the text of the English Wikipedia page on this topic contradicted them map. I did find other images within Wikimedia Commons that appear to show rail traffic in Indonesia driving on the right. I brought this up on the English version's talk page as well, and a user supplied a from Indonesia there where a train was clearly driving on the right (Youtube video). It should be noted that the German Wikipedia page seems to incorrectly write that Indonesia's rail traffic is on the left; I would edit this myself but I do not know any German so I wouldn't be able to explain my edit. The text in the Indonesian wiki also seems to support that Indonesia's rail traffic drives on the right. I corrected the English version of the image, but I would imagine that since you have the original copy you can probably make a better edit of the map; in that case would you be willing to update the map accordingly? Thanks in advance! T.c.w7468 (talk) 05:11, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you very much, @T.c.w7468: , for this information. The map has been online for over 10 years and I need to see if I still have the origianl template in svg format. Based on your description, I would be quite willing to make this desired change - both on the map and in the German-language article. However, it may take some time and I ask for your patience. Otherwise, perhaps you will remind me again in August?! Thank you again. Lantus (talk) 03:45, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
Karte Oberbergische Bahnen
BSicon copyright
Please note that the consensus is to use {{PD-shape}} for the copyright of BSicons. Danke schoen. Useddenim (talk) 15:42, 31 July 2022 (UTC)

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. Wye icons
You said that "connection to next icon [is] inaccepable" for my revision, but don't explain how. If you take a look at the image to the right, you can see the the outer edges of the two versions align perfectly, and it is only the inner edge surrounding the triangle void that differs. The line ends at the icon's borders are 100% congruent. Unless you can come up with a more rational argument, I am going to restore my changes. Useddenim (talk) 19:58, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
- Maybe green is okay, I don't know. Hope, you are right! I only care about the four colours used to illustrate origin railway schema. If you please study the history of the data sets, I reset you will quite soon understand why in against your changes. How to describe: the vertical lie is definitely interrupted with your symbols. Cheers Lantus (talk) 20:43, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
- They have now been fixed. My apologies for misunderstanding what you were trying to say in English. Useddenim (talk) 16:10, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you, much better and indeed very useful. Sorry for my English, but most important is to understand and respect each other at the end. Keep going on and follow your projects, Lantus (talk) 18:33, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
