Byzantine maps
editHello Dipa, nice work on updating these maps! However, a few corrections: It should be either Lykandos or Lycandus (Latinized), "Byzantine" themes not "Byzantium" themes, and the correct name for the Armeniac Theme in Greek is Αρμενιακών, not Αρμενιακόν. Cheers, Constantine ✍ 11:40, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, the correct form indeed is Αρμενι"ά"κων. Αρμενιακών is a mis-pronounciation that has become rather common, though. Constantine ✍ 17:59, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
- On the 1025 map, go ahead. I've started to re-draw it a couple of times but I never seem to finish it. If you have time and are willing to, you have my blessing. It's certainly better that having this quite erroneous map around. Constantine ✍ 07:28, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
- Ps, this is from Toynbee's Constantine Porphyrogenitus and his World, it is pretty much the standard map for 1045: [1] Constantine ✍ 16:13, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
- Hmmm, in this case better send me an email I can contact you by. I've got a store of useful material. Constantine ✍ 08:20, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
