Thanks for uploading File:1000cello_hiroshima_2010-05.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT ([email protected]). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the No permission since tag with on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (:File:1000cello_hiroshima_2010-05.jpg ) and the above demanded information in your request. |
Tip: Categorizing images
edit
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.CategorizationBot (talk) 11:03, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

editHello. What is this on your foto File:Slagwool.jpg? Is it a slag wool or stone wool? Blast furnace chip worker (talk) 11:59, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
- Hello. This is slag wool. It is not asbestos( = stone wool?).--melvil (talk) 02:35, 18 August 2017 (UTC)
- I have to clarify something. Google translate translates ロックウール as Rock wool or stone wool. Is it correct? Maybe it would be correct to translate ロックウール as a Mineral wool? So, can one create a category Slag wool and put this foto into there, if it is a slag wool? And why did you put this file File:Slagwool2.jpg into the Category:Rockwool if it is a slag wool as you say? By the way, can you add an information about the producer of this wool in the description of the file? Blast furnace chip worker (talk) 18:05, 18 August 2017 (UTC)
- I do not know which company has made this. Now I understand your intentions. This insulation is called rock wool (ロックウール)in Japan. It is the same as Stone wool in English. (We do not call Stone wool in Japan). In Japanese the name of Stone wool is not common. If someone uses the word Stone wool, I think many Japanese people are usually misunderstood asbestos.--melvil (talk) 19:27, 18 August 2017 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but you did not answer all my questions. There are 3 types of the mineral wool in the world. They are glass wool, slag wool and rock or stone wool. Slag wool is made from liquid slag, which is produced for example in a blast furnace during the smelting of pig iron. Rock wool or stone wool is a wool wich made mainly melting of rocks - stone. In the descriptions of your files you are using both words slag wool and rock wool. But slag wool and rock wool are not the same things. So, what is that on your fotos? Slag wool or rock wool? I ask you because I need an illustration for my article. Blast furnace chip worker (talk) 07:31, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
- The Japanese building industry does not distinguish between slag wool and rock wool. They are distributed as a whole in the name of "rock wool". Therefore, we can not distinguish whether this picture is slag wool or rock wool.--melvil (talk) 13:50, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, I understood. Thanks for answers. Blast furnace chip worker (talk) 14:18, 23 August 2017 (UTC)

--Batholith (talk) 11:48, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
- こんにちは。そうですね、新しいカメラの効果をまだ把握できていなかったので、強すぎる効果となってしまいました。資料用としては、もう少し効果を落として撮影するようにしたいと思います。ありがとうございます。--melvil (talk) 09:04, 28 September 2017 (UTC)
