My main focus is Southern Appalachia, in the southeastern United States, but I occasionally venture elsewhere.
I typically take photographs using a Pentax K-70 (DSLR), a Pentax K-x (DSLR), a Canon PowerShot SX20 IS, or a Canon PowerShot SX710 HS. For photographs taken prior to 2010, I used a handheld HP Photosmart M305.
Usage of photos
editMy photographs on Wikimedia Commons are licensed under a creative commons "attribution" license. This essentially means you can use them for any purpose, so long as you cite me as the photographer. This can be accomplished by placing the statement, "Photo: Brian Stansberry," or "Photo credit: Brian Stansberry," in a caption under the photo, or in a credits section at the end of the publication.
If the photo is being used by a site or publication that is politically partisan, religious, or controversial, please use the caption, "Photo: Brian Stansberry / Creative Commons," or otherwise note that I am not affiliated with the group.
