1938 - Commemorative plaque on the golf course at Green Lakes State Park. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, and initially operated by him. The opening of the course in 1938 was celebrated by an exhibition that attracted 13,000 spectators; the "first foursome" included Gene Sarazen, Emmett Kelly, Joe Patelli, and Larry Sovik
