The visualization is split into diagrams of 8 countries each, since gnuplot (in batch mode) does not support more distinct colors; all diagrams share the same scale. The vertical axis has logarithmic scale. The horizontal axis starts on 20 Jan 2020 (situation report 1) and ends on 16 Aug 2020 (situation report 209). For each day, 1/7 of the difference of the current day's figure and the figure a week ago is shown. For example, in situation report 119 (18 May 2020) and 126 (25 May 2020), there were 1432265 and 1592599 Total Confirmed Cases in the USA, respectively, so the thick dashed line passes through 22905 = (1592599-1432265)/7 on 25 May.
