Français : Pavillon de style Louis XIII construit à l'intersection du boulevard de Lorraine et de la rue Paul-Algis. Ce fut une des premières maisons construites sur les terrains rachetés par la société immobilière Bernheim vers 1900 pour en faire des lotissements. Elle avait été construite dans le style Louis XIII (briques rouges, encoignures en pierre, toit pointu en ardoises, grandes cheminées, ...) pour donner au lotissement un aspect chic, mais elle resta la seule dans ce style. Elle était occupée par Paul Algis (1875-1915), propriétaire de Bernheim conseiller municipal très actif, mort en champ d'honneur en 1915. Pendant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale, la maison a été occupée par les officiers allemands en charge de l'approvisionnement en tabac des troupes. Ils construisent un blockhauss dans le jardin détruit en 1948. La propriété est restée inhabitée pendant de longues années, le jardin à l'abandon. Elle a été rachetée par la municipalité le 13/2/2009 et transformée en jardin ouvert au public le 28/6/2010. |
