Description
English: Trinity College, Nevile's Gate to Trinity Lane, circa 1610. Built by Thomas Nevile (died 1615), Dean of Peterborough (1591–1597), Dean of Canterbury (1597–1615), Master of Magdalene College, Cambridge (1582–1593) and Master of Trinity College, Cambridge (1593–1615). Arms of Nevile: Gules, a saltire argent; Or fretty gules, on a canton per pale of the first and argent a galley sable (Nevell, Lords Latymer); Arms of King James I; Arms of Trinity College, Cambridge, impaling Nevile; arms of Magdalene College, Cambridge, impaling Nevile.
