Description
English: Baro Shona Mosque is the largest monument in Gour, Malda, which is also called as Baroduari Masjid which means 12-gate mosque. The construction of this huge mosque was started by Allauddin Hussein Shah and was completed in 1526 by his son Nasiruddin Nusrat Shah. This mosque represents an Indo-Arabic style of architecture and also the ornamental stone carvings. It is one of the most popular mosque of Malda.
