Description
English: Dam at Lake Craig, Asheville's first (?) reservoir. Lake Craig was the base of entertainment for the Asheville Recreation Park which included a boat house and pavilion and was known as "Asheville's Playground." Lake Craig was named for Locke Craig (1860-1925), whose home was nearby. Lake formed by an earthen dam before 1903. From the Maxwell M.
