English: A Messerschmitt Me 262 A–1 a/R1 Swallow (W.-Nr. 500071) on display at Deutsches Museum in Munich, Germany, in 1976. This plane was built in late 1944 in St. Georgen, Austria, and Leonberg, close to Stuttgart. The plane is powered by two Junkers Jumo 004 B-1 jet engines and was assigned to the 9. Staffel, Jagdgeschwader 7 squadron. On 25 April 1945 the pilot Hans Guido Mutke defected and landed the plane at the Dübendorf Air Base in Switzerland. In 1957 it was given to the Deutsches Museum in Munich.
Deutsch: Eine Messerschmitt Me 262 A–1 a/R1 Schwalbe (W.-Nr. 500071) ausgestellt im Deutschen Museum in München im Jahr 1976. Das Flugzeug wurde Ende 1944 in St. Georgen, heute Österreich, und Leonberg bei Stuttgart gebaut. Das Flugzeug wird durch zwei Junkers Jumo 004 B-1 Strahltriebwerke angetrieben und war der 9. Staffel des Jagdgeschwader 7 (erkennbar am blauen und roten Rumpfband) zugeteilt. Am 25. April 1945 floh der Pilot Hans Guido Mutke mit dem Flugzeug in die Schweiz und landete auf dem Militärflugplatz Dübendorf. 1957 wurde es dem Deutschen Museum in München geschenkt. |
