Ferris Wheel
The construction of the Lakeshore East development is in the foreground. The triple-decker road coming from the left is Wacker Drive. The upper and lower (service) levels end at the same place (the service level ends at the entrance to the City of Chicago Central Auto Pound). The middle level continues to intersect the lower level of Lake Shore Drive, whose bridge over the Chicago River (Link Bridge) is seen behind Wacker Drive. Navy Pier's ferris wheel can be seen in the background. The three tall buildings on the left are the North Pier Tower (dark brown), LakeView Condominiums (green, beige, and brown), and Lake Point Tower (black).
I, Finlay McWalter, took this photograph on March 5, 1998. It was taken from Upper San Francisco. The view faces northeast.
