English: The Richat Structure in the Sahara desert, Mauritania, also known as the Eye of the Sahara, as viewed from Hodoyoshi-1 satellite. The whole structure is almost 50 km in diameter, while the center of concentric rings is 30 km width. Français : La Structure de Richat (ou dôme de Richat), surnommée l'œil de l'Afrique ou traditionnellement Guelb er Richât, est une structure géologique située dans le désert du Sahara en Mauritanie, ici vue depuis le satellite Hodoyoshi-1. La structure totale mesure près de 50 km de diamètre, tandis que sa partie centrale formée d'anneaux concentriques fait 30 km. |
