Español: Estación de Chamberí

Después de haber adquirido su billete, los viajeros debían validarlo. Durante las primeras décadas de existencia del Metro de Madrid se trata de otro proceso que también se realizaba manualmente en una segunda taquilla situada a continuación de la taquilla de venta de billetes. Con el paso de los años, la validación de los billetes y el control de accesos pasó a realizarse de forma automática por máquinas con torniquetes.
