Deutsch: Die Mondfinsternis vom 4.März 2007, aufgenommen um ca. 0:30 Uhr in Gähwil (Schweiz). Zu diesem Zeitpunkt ist der Mond vollständig verfinstert und steht kurz davor aus dem Austritt aus dem Kernschatten.

Lichtstrahlen der Sonne werden an der Erdatmosphäre gebrochen und erzeugen die rötliche Beleuchtung.

Aufnahme mit Meade Lightbridge Spiegelteleskop (254mm Spiegeldurchmesser)in Okularprojektion (26mm Okular) mit einer Olympus 5050Z Digitalkamera (ISO 200, 2sec, f1.8)
