Summary
editDescriptionChart of Regions.jpg |
English: The Chart of the Regions shows the relationships between segments of a tonality as these relate to a tonal center, indicated as the Tonic Region. Compare Schoenberg's Chart of the Regions from his text Structural Functions of Harmony. See accompanying file: Chart of the Regions in C major. This chart is one entry in a long tradition of key charts leading at least as far back as Gottfried Weber. It comprises the familiar circle of fifths divided and rearranged in columns. |
