English: Celtic monoxylon found on the shore of a lake near Mohelnice (Olomouc Region, the Czech Republic) in 1999. It comes from the late Iron Age (400–50 AD). It was made from a 200 years old oak. Measuring 10.5 x 1.05 × 0.6 m, it is the biggest monoxyl found in the Czech Republic. The photo was taken at the exhibition Příběh kamene (The Story of the Stone) in the basement of the former Jesuit university in Olomouc, nowadays belonging to the Regional Museum in Olomouc. Čeština: Keltský monoxyl nalezený roku 1999 na břehu mohelnického jezera v Olomouckém kraji. Monoxyl pochází z mladší doby železné (400 až 50 př. n. l.) a je zhotoven z asi 200 let starého dubu. Se svými rozměry 10,5 × 1,05 × 0,6 m je největším monoxylem nalezeným na území České republiky. Fotografie byla pořízena na výstavě Příběh kamene ve sklepení budovy bývalé jezuitské univerzity v Olomouci, dnes spravované Vlastivědným muzeem v Olomouci. |
