Beschreibung des Wappens:„Unter einem goldenen (gelben) Schildhaupt, darin ein rot bewehrter, schwarzer Adler; gespalten von Rot und Schwarz vorne ein sechsspeichiges silbernes (weißes) Rad, hinten ein rot gekrönter und bewehrter goldener (gelber) Löwe.“

Beschreibung des Banners:„Das Banner des Landkreises ist schwarz-gelb längsgestreift mit dem aufgelegten Wappen oberhalb der Mitte.“
