Description
English: Headstone in Catterick Cemetery, North Yorkshire, of George and Avis Bennions and their son Tony.
Squadron Leader George Bennions, DFC, Royal Air Force, (Retired) died 30 January 2004 aged 90. His full name was George Herman Bennions (Nickname Ben). Born in Burslem, Stoke on Trent 15 March 1913. Served in the RAF 1929–46. Squadron Leader with 41 Squadron RAF. Fought in WW2 and in the Battle of Britain as a Spitfire Pilot.
