Description

Arlempdes, comm. de la Haute-Loire, France (région Auvergne).
La poterne (arche au centre de la photo, ancienne porte de l'enceinte extérieure du château), face sud. Remarquer l'arc de décharge dans la paroi au-dessus de l'arche, juste sous la fenestrelle du comble (l'étage sous comble est probablement un ajout ultérieur, sans doute du XIVe ou XVe siècle).

La maison derrière l'arbre à droite, coupée par le bord de la photo, est la mairie d'Arlempdes. Au second plan à droite, émergeant de derrière les toits : clocher-peigne de l'église Saint-Pierre. Tout au fond, dans l'angle droit, le château proprement dit (tour d'angle ouest).
