Description AWM caption : "Scotland, Firth of Forth. View down the fore deck of HMAS Australia, showing 'A' turret with 12 inch guns, 4 inch guns and a two seater Sopwith 1 1/2 strutter biplane on a platform above the port turret. On 4 April and 14 May 1918 this aircraft had taken off from a similar platform on the starboard side; this had not been done before with a two seater aircraft. (See EN0011, EN0017, EN0018.)"
