הערות: ב 1876 נבנה ע"י חיים שמואל שמרלינג הבית היהודי הראשון מחוץ לחומות יפו. ב 1887 הוקמה השכונה היהודית הראשונה מחוץ ליפו, נווה צדק, ושכונות נוספות. בשכונות פעלו ועדים שנבחרו באספות כלליות של התושבים. ב 1909, הוקמה שכונת אחוזת בית. התכנסה אז קבוצת המייסדים של שכונת אחוזת בית (66 משפחות ובודדים) בחולות כדי להגריל בין חבריה את מיקום המגרשים לבנייה. המבנה הראשון בשכונת אחוזת בית הייתה גימנסיה הרצליה. ב 1910, החליפה שכונת אחוזת בית את שמה לתל אביב. ב1934 הפכה הרשות לעיר תל אביב ע"י שלטונות המנדט הבריטי.
