Afghan Historian

Rationale

edit
  • Reason: Afghan Historian is being disruptive and dishonest, I believe he is uploading copyrighted images under false licenses in which he claims to be the author/owner. He's a Pakistani[1] pretending to be an Afghan[2], and is making false maps in which he eraces the current state "Afghanistan" and gives it a new name "Pakhtunistan" with a new capital and borders, which is a way to insult Afghans, and then using a sockpuppet he uploads the controversial maps to Commons and then uses anonymous IP registered in Sindh, Pakistan, to insert the maps in Wikipedia articles. In addition to that he is probably using other sockpuppets to secretly upload copyrighted images that he steals from online sites. For example, he has uploaded File:Dr Israr Ahmad.jpg from this blog site which was deleted as copyvio, then he tells Túrelio that he obtained the image from the said owner (Dr Israr Ahmad who died in April 2010) with his full permission to release it into wiki public domain. See User_talk:Túrelio#a_picture_of_Dr_Israr_Ahmad_and_weirdos. I some how don't believe his story because he had changed the background on the image to make it look different from the one found on the blog site.
  • I'm very pissed off at Afghan Historian because the people of Afghanistan have gone through 30 years of wars and miseries, and while the Western world (NATO states) is now helping Afghans rebuild their lives and unite them as one state again, anti-Afghanistan people in Pakistan are sending terrorists and insurgents to create hell over there. It's a fact that Afghan Historian is a Pakistani, and his wish is to see Afghans continue living in war and chaos. I understand that people may upload maps which probably contain some errors but what Afghan Historian is trying to do is mislead everyone who reads Wikipedia, cause frustration among Afghans, and create edit-wars.
  • His dishonesty is everywhere, he claims that he is a medical doctor in the United States from a famous Afghan family with strong ties to Afghan tradition and culture and has worked for generations to safeguard and promote Afghan culture, literature and ideals and most of all Pashtunwali... [3].... but with your checkuser tool I'm very sure that you can see his location as Karachi, Pakistan. In addition to using w:User:Afghan Historian account [4] in Wikipedia he's also using w:User:Dr Pukhtunyar Afghan because as soon as he uploaded this file he quickly went and added it into Wikipedia using the Dr. Pakhtunyar Afghan account.[5] He has done the same with this map in the past and many others. He claims to be Pakistani, Afghan, American, Zoroastrian, Pashtoon, and God knows what else.
  • The Users are related because they upload files exactly the same way. For example, the sock "Danyaladamkhan" made only 1 upload and it is exactly like Afghan Historian's uploads. [6] [7]. People with such intentions should not be allowed to make maps of Afghanistan because they have a clear political agenda. He also made a number of false flags like this one that never existed. I feel that there is this one Pakistani nationalist who is using many IDs to upload copyrighted images relating to Pakistan that he steals from online sites, and if I'm not wrong it should be this guy whom I reported here. I cannot go waste so much time tracking him manually but your checkuser will be able to easily find who the person is and how many socks he is using. Some may be stale accounts but you're checkuser would still help solve this case. Thanks--Officer (talk) 05:54, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
