Image had been sent to speedy, tag removed and put back in general pile without fixing the problem.
The link to "source" spins without connecting. No source... Image can be found http://www.sonofthesouth.net/leefoundation/Confederate_Generals.htm, page marked (C). Yes the image might be old enough, etc. - but there's nothing to show that on the file template, no source, no real date and no author. I agree that the age may be enough to make it "obvious" but files still need sources, templates and proper information before being tossed back on the pile. - Keep person depicted died 1877, public domain by now because it's clearly made and published in the USA before 1923. Nominating an image for deletion when you know it's a free image just because you want more metadata borders vandalism. Multichill (talk) 17:20, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
