This is not Francisco Félix de Sousa, but Giuseppe Garibaldi. I know there is a source for this attribution, but to me it's very clear that this is one of the many portraits of Giuseppe Garibaldi. So, I'm nominating for deletion also in an attempt to find the real source of this portrait. I'm not the only one that finds the resemblance to Garibaldi very odd (see here) Dantadd✉ 18:20, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
- Keep painted during subject's lifetime. --Fæ (talk) 13:45, 24 February 2020 (UTC)
- Have you read what I've written? Dantadd✉ 04:09, 4 July 2020 (UTC)
- Sure, researching the source would add significant value. It's not a reason to delete an old photograph of a portrait that is credibly over 150 years old. To encourage more eyes on the sourcing, a post on the village pump may be more effective than a DR that hardly anyone will notice. --Fæ (talk) 07:59, 4 July 2020 (UTC)
Kept: If the person is misidentified, then we should rename the image, but this requires proof. Otherwise, no valid reason for deletion. —howcheng {chat} 20:45, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
