Commons:Requests and votes/James F.

I've been an admin on w:en for nearly 2 years now, and I'd like to help out here with housekeeping on images and so on; if nothing else, to be able to move misnamed uploads to better places and delete the former, &c. James F. (talk) 13:45, 7 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- As I've been asked on en if this is really me, here's a link to show it: [1]. James F. (talk) 00:30, 8 Dec 2004 (UTC)

- Oppose. Of course there no precise criterium but I do think that 13 edits on Commons makes this request a bit premature. I do not question the implication on wikimedia projects but just point out the fact that the implication in Commons should be a bit consisting before requesting adminiship here. I'd support this request without problem later on with more implication evidence. villy 20:37, 7 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Support as well as objecting to villy's reasoning above (though of course he is entitled to his opinion), people do not in my opinion need some special experiance beyond being admins on another wikimedia project to qualify for admin position here, i myself had <100 edits when i became admin here. --Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason 22:07, 7 Dec 2004 (UTC)
