Install instructions

Windows: Extract zip file, then open the folder and run RhythmRewind.exe

Mac: We don't own any Macs so it was hard for us to test this build. Here are some ways you can try to open it -

Move the zip file into your applications folder, right click it, click open, and then click open again on the warning.

For catalina, you can try using chmod x ./macBuild.app/Contents/MacOS/Rhythm\ Rewind

Hey, I'm working on a rhythm mapping tool for games like yours. it's called MBOY Editor (https://vfpe.itch.io/mboy-editor) Do you want to try it for your game? Vic

Steam has a "game of the year" nomination for "the best game I suck at". Rhythm Rewind would be my choice! :D

I made it and I still suck, thanks for playing!

Had to do a “chmod x ./macBuild.app/Contents/MacOS/Rhythm\ Rewind” in order for the game to launch on macOS Catalina.

Please please please let us download just the funky music, I want to wake up to this every morning.

The LICC!

Great game with lots of potential (especially since this game was made in a week) so if you do keep working on this game I think that this game could be very good!

Oh! But still this game was very good... I didn't even realise that this was a copy XD, I have been thinking about game jams but I have been doing a project for a game of my own, the only problem is that my motivation to continue the game has been running low and I have tried to go back to it and every time I just sit there staring at the screen but I will go back to it eventually I think.

Don't listen to that guy this game is nothing like Osu! Rhythm Rewind slaps. And good luck on working on your own project! It takes a bit but don't get discouraged. A lot of it does take it out of you and since we're in a pandemic it's okay to just rest tbh.

what's osu

You know that Osu! is a copy of Elite Beat Agents right? Other rhythm games can exist other than Osu! just because there's circles and you have to click to the song doesn't mean it's a copy of another game. That's basically most rhythm games.

It aint a copy. If it was I would've been smashing my keyboard my now.

cool rhytem game

My fingers no longer exist

Definitely the best game in this jam. Super fun, addicting, amazing work. I hope you will continue to develop this game and add more songs, co-op, multiplayer and many more features. My high score is 141420.

P.S. I found a glitch in the game that allows missing notes but still counting them in my streak.

a little bit difficult but funny and good design

What does the funkiness option do?

yes

unfortunately it does nothing and will probably never do anything cuz y a c a n t t u r n d o w n t h e f u n k y

Very well made! I loved the licc at the beginning, and I love the artstyle! It was sort of hard at first, but once I got the hang of it, it was super fun. It reminds me a bit of piano tiles, but the beat is super catchy and I love the bass. Keep up the great work!

I love it!

A very well made game, and loads of fun to play! Well done to the developers!

Amazing!

This is really well done! Nice job guys!

thanks!

Insanely polished, super cool rhythm game! Check it out :)
