As our “Green Performance Pledge” turned 3, our office landlord-tenant collaboration continues to pioneer new ground – with a current 54%* participation rate / 100 Taikoo Place, Pacific Place and Citygate tenant-partners.    Adding to these encouraging results is the significant impact GPP tenants achieved together over the past year in the areas of energy savings and waste diversion. [HIGHLIGHTS:] · {Collective Reduction in Energy Use Intensity (EUI) by 3.8%} – Saved nearly 750,000 kWh, approximately the same amount of electricity used by 227 three-person households in Hong Kong over one year, or collectively achieved nearly HKD1 million in tenant electricity cost savings; · {Waste Diversion Rate} – Collectively increased by 10 percentage points, while total waste generation dropped by 41 tonnes; and over 200 tonnes of collected waste was diverted from landfills through reuse and recycling in the 2023/24 period; · {Over 60% of GPP Tenants} – Maintained or improved their energy efficiency and waste diversion performance;   And recently, we held our Annual GPP Forum in Hong Kong to celebrate all these amazing results with our many tenant-partners. Taikoo Square has officially been unveiled! This marks a key milestone in the transformation of Taikoo Place, and showcases our efforts to promote urban biodiversity and community wellbeing. https://lnkd.in/e5DhbGYy Taikoo Square, along with Taikoo Garden (which opened last year) and the newly-converted open space at Taikoo Piazza, add more than 70,000 sq ft of green space to Taikoo Place – increasing the total greenery and open space to approximately 30%. These landscaped areas showcase our focus on biophilic design, promote urban biodiversity and connect people with nature by offering green open spaces for the community to enjoy. Our goal is to bring our urban biodiversity vision to life, and more importantly, start the next stage of our sustainability journey. We debuted the first of our Virtual Tours (#TaikooLiQiantan) this month, which offer our staff an immersive, interactive experience of our fantastic projects around the world.
