Maison&Objet World Tour: Copenhagen & Lausanne! 🌍 The global journey of Maison&Objet continues, fostering connections and showcasing excellence in decoration, lifestyle, and design around the world! 🇨🇭 Lausanne: In collaboration with our local partner, Espaces Contemporains, we organized a Décoration & Design Meeting on June 7th. This event took place during the Design Days at the ephemeral site of La Rasude, showcasing young designers and artisans. Brune Ouakrat and Charlotte Cazals from Peclers Paris presented the Terra Cosmos inspiration theme for the upcoming September edition of Maison&Objet. Following the presentation, guests enjoyed a private tour of the exhibition and a networking cocktail. 🇩🇰 Copenhagen: During the renowned 3daysofdesign, we hosted an exclusive dinner event to bring together our community, celebrate Nordic design and creativity, and express our gratitude to our partners. Held on June 14th, the dinner gathered about 40 attendees, including brands, buyers, interior architects, press, trend offices, and the Maison&Objet team. The exquisite meal was crafted by Daniel Letz, a Michelin-starred chef who also cooks for the Danish royal family. Thanks to all who joined us and contributed to the success of these events: Monica Förster, Louise Byg Kongsholm, Mads Arlien-Søborg, Pia Finne, Caitlin Human, Derya Doğan, Kosta Boda Art Hotel. MASTERMIND BIJOY JAIN/ STUDIO MUMBAI The Arts and Crafts movement valued hand-made objects in reaction to the mass production of the late 19th century and took inspiration from the aesthetic of the past to build its own intake on modernism, far from the industrial aesthetic. Its values are being reactivated today in a similar context, with people like Bijoy Jain, founder of Studio Mumbai, an Indian interdisciplinary collective of architects, engineers, craftsmen, technicians and artists from every continent. Studio Mumbai blurs the frontier between art and architecture, by stating that beauty is not just something to add up to the architectural gesture.
