🌟 Take Our Kids to Work Day at IMAX Canada! 🌟 We were thrilled to host 17 enthusiastic 9th Graders, children of our dedicated employees, for an exciting day at IMAX Canada. The day kicked off with a warm welcome from our CFO, Natasha Fernandes, who provided an insightful overview of the IMAX business. The students enjoyed a comprehensive tour of our facilities, getting a behind-the-scenes look at the cutting-edge technology that powers IMAX. They also participated in a hands-on manufacturing assembly activity led by Matthew Luk, our Senior Engineer in Manufacturing. After a delightful lunch with their parents, the highlight of the day was watching the documentary “Blue Angels” in our very own theater lab. The energy was high, and it was wonderful to see the kids thoroughly enjoying their day at work. A big thank you to everyone who made this day special. 🎮 IMAX is partnering with Wanda in China to deliver its first-ever live esports event — the 2024 League of Legends World Championship! IMAX will broadcast the tournament exclusively in up to 200 Wanda locations across China over the next three weeks, including this weekend’s quarterfinals (Oct. 17-20), the semifinals (Oct. 26-27), and finals (Nov. 2). The release of the League of Legends World Championship in IMAX was driven by the IMAX Streaming and Consumer Technology division, as the group continues to test new technologies to expand the company’s connected theaters with new live experiences, including its sellout presentation of the NBA Finals in Hong Kong and Taiwan earlier this year.
