Topping Out Ceremony | LAHC Cowper Street Glebe It was a perfect day with brilliant sunshine last Friday to celebrate this significant milestone with Kane Constructions Pty Ltd, TTW Engineers (Taylor Thomson Whitting) and all the consultants. Vargha Zare took the team including our architects Noura Thaha, Pooja Arora, CHƯƠNG NGUYỄN HOÀNG, Homes NSW and Signature Project Management through the site.  It is a very special social housing project being delivered by Kane Constructions Pty Ltd and our team, for NSW Land and Housing Corporation (Homes NSW). It continues to be a fantastic journey in sustainable construction, DfMA, BIM, and complex detailing; cross-laminated timber construction, and refined brickwork with the D&BP Act overlay. #congratulations #architecture #socialhousing #clt

We're excited about Deicorp's Proximity Rouse Hill being a finalist in the UDIA NSW Awards for Excellence. It is a mixed-use residential development of six freestanding buildings 400m from the bustling Rouse Hill Town Centre. 'Proximity' provides a well-connected and vibrant living environment that caters to the diverse needs of its residents whilst promoting social interaction and a sense of community. LAHC Cowper Street, Glebe Social Housing | Pushing the boundaries Delivering a Class 2 building in timber construction has long been an aspiration in our field, but costs and a lack of shared IP across the construction industry often hinder this goal. We've partnered with Kane Constructions Pty Ltd as executive architects for over a year to deliver this unique and exciting social housing opportunity for the Land and Housing Corporation. Executive architect is not a role we typically assume, but we couldn't resist the chance to be part of this innovative project to push the industry boundaries. It has proven invaluable in expanding our capability in timber construction documentation and technical expertise. It's not just about creating a building; it's about pioneering new knowledge and expanding our architectural horizons. We are excited to share the incredible insights from this experience. Five of Sydney’s Inner West children’s playgrounds are getting a makeover – and two opened on the weekend! The Inner West is a creative community with vibrant and diverse cultures, ideologies, and experiences. This land area traditionally belonged to the Gadigal and Wangal peoples of the Eora nation. The Inner West Council undertakes an annual playground renewal and upgrades program to ensure they're in good condition, meet safety standards, and improve play experiences. They engaged us to design the upgrades of the parks below, which included replacing the soft fall, upgrading equipment and providing some moments of delight and nature play. 1️⃣ Kensington Road Playground, Summer Hill 2️⃣ Maundrell Park Playground, Petersham 3️⃣ War Memorial Park, Leichhardt 4️⃣ Wangal Nura Park, Leichhardt 5️⃣ Lambert Park Playground, Leichhardt Our team—John Holland, Clare O'Brien, Anika Hoffman, and JYOTSNA MISHRA—congratulates the Inner West Council on opening Maundrell Park and War Memorial Park this weekend! Seven Hills State School Multi-Purpose Hall || Opening Ceremony Lachlan McCallum, from our Brisbane studio, was delighted to attend the recent opening ceremony that included - the Hon Di Farmer, Minister for Education and Minister for Youth Justice and School Principal, Michelle Morrisey. “Witnessing the students' involvement in the smoking ceremony in their new hall was a heartwarming experience. A big thank-you to the school team, who were instrumental in bringing the project to fruition. They were a pleasure to work with. Also, thanks to Wiley, who delivered a magnificent result.” >> The design faced unique challenges due to the school’s steeply sloping terrain. Collaboration with civil/structural and access consultants was crucial to strategically placing the hall for optimal accessibility and integration within the campus layout. >> The location chosen for the hall, near the school’s main entrance, was selected because it capitalises on site topography, facilitates off-street parking and positions it as a prominent structure promoting the school’s identity and fostering community use.
