🆕 Vendée Globe 2024 | supporting Louis Duc at the Défi Azimut Lorient Agglomération 2024. At Fives, our commitment to excellence goes beyond the boundaries of our industrial expertise. This year again, we had the privilege of supporting Louis Duc, skipper of Fives Group and partner for the Vendée Globe 2024, during the 48H of the Défi Azimut in Lorient, France. Our teams, representing various subsidiaries such as Fives Cryo, Fives Cryomec, Fives Intralogistics Italy, Fives FCB, Fives Stein, Fives Filling and Sealing, Fives Stein, Fives Solios, Fives Otto, Fives Syleps, Fives CortX, Fives Cinetic came together to cheer on Louis Duc and share his passion for sailing. Meeting Louis was an inspiring moment for our team. We had the opportunity to hear his story and explore the common values that bind him with Fives. Together, we share a deep commitment to environmental stewardship, resilience, and the principles of a circular economy. The Défi Azimut, being the last preparatory race before the Vendée Globe, provided Louis with a crucial opportunity to train before his round-the-world journey. This race not only allowed him to fine-tune his skills but also gave us a chance to witness his dedication and perseverance firsthand. This experience reminded us of the importance of collaboration and solidarity within our group. 🆕 Fives to Fives | Une aventure inoubliable : La Fives Team Running conquiert 74 km 🏃♀️ ⭐ La Fives Team Running a relevé un défi impressionnant. Vivien NONDIER, Lukas Vanderperre, Nicolas Souterelle et Jérôme GROSSIER ont parcouru 74 km le long de la vélo-route reliant Nancy à Épinal, en suivant le cours de la Moselle. Le départ a eu lieu à 5h30 de Fives Nordon, et l’arrivée chez Fives Cryo à Golbey vers 15h. 🤜🤛 Chaque membre de l’équipe a couru une distance significative : Lukas a parcouru 50 km, Nicolas 40 km, et Jérôme et Vivien chacun 37 km. Ils ont alterné les relais pour s’assurer que quelqu’un soit toujours disponible pour gérer les ravitaillements, tout en maintenant un effort continu. 📍 Cette aventure s’est déroulée sous un soleil radieux et une chaleur intense, rendant l’exploit encore plus remarquable. Le parcours, en plus d’être pittoresque, est également sûr, ce qui a permis à l’équipe de se concentrer pleinement sur leur performance. L’esprit d’entraide et le soutien mutuel ont été essentiels pour surmonter ce beau défi. 🙏 Nous sommes extrêmement fiers de leur performance et de leur détermination. 🆕 Glass Industry| Pioneering glass technology at Guardian Glass Guardian Glass, one of the world’s largest float glass manufacturers, and Fives put an energy-efficient furnace into operation in Bascharage, Luxembourg. The low-energy furnace - Prium® Float-Melt developed by Fives – is unique in the glass industry. Combined with L.E.M.® technology, it has a heat recovery system that enables the preheating of pure oxygen and natural gas. 🎯 Over time, the use of this new technology should reduce the furnace’s gas consumption by 25% and CO2 emissions by 20%, making it one of the lowest energy consumption levels in the sector. 🗨️“This new float system heralds an exciting era for the plant in Luxembourg, as it is Guardian Glass' most energy-efficient furnace. We trusted Fives to implement new technology as they have extensive experience with electric and hybrid melting for various glass applications.
