🌞 Powering Namibia's Food Production Amidst a Power Crisis! In March 2024, a large food producing factory in Namibia installed an ATESS #backuppowersystem to combat the country's ongoing power crisis. The setup includes two HPS150 #hybridinverters, two sets of AT150 automatic transfer switches, and 5 sets of BR157R #batteryracks, integrated with a 300 kWp PV system. The 150 kW circuit breaker of NORED (Namibia’s regional Electricity Distributor) often trips due to overloads and our system limits the grid to 70 kW to prevent disruptions. This ensures the plant can operate smoothly. During the day, the PV system powers the load and charges the battery when PV production exceeds the load. Namibian #powercrisis, marked by insufficient supply, aging infrastructure, and underutilized renewables, severely impacts food producing industry.
