FCI Edgefield Inspection Report with Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) Response

FCI Edgefield is a BOP medium security, males-only prison located in Edgefield, SC. As of April 1, 2017, FCI Edgefield held 55 men convicted of DC Code offenses.

The CIC conducted an onsite inspection of FCI Edgefield in November 2014. Since then, the CIC has incorporated updated information from inmate correspondence and from BOP review and response to the draft report. Onsite inspection information, information from BOP and others from 2014 and 2017 are contained in the report. The BOP Response is published in toto along with the CIC report, here.
